About the Children's Library

The Children's Library really is its own little library with books, audios, videos, magazines, computers, reference materials, and so much more - primarily for children from birth on through elementary school and their parents.  It's not hard to spot this exciting part of our library with entrance art designed by local artist Ron Lukesh and funded by the Grand Island Rotary Club.  There is so much more in store for you when you enter.  As this page gets developed, you'll find out more about the collections and services of the Children's Library.  For now, though, we have a listing of free programs for children - if you are interested in attending, call Merry at 385-5333 or email her at mvs@gi.lib.ne.us.

Also listed are various partnerships we have with community agencies in keeping with our city's designation as a winner of its 2008 "100 Best Communities for Young People" (100 Best) competition.
