Project webpage, celebrating the founding and ongoing
sponsorship of this project by the Grand Island Public
Library Foundation, Inc.
This site’s goals:
To be this long-term project’s
most complete, authoritative and balanced presentation
of the lives and influences of Edith and Grace Abbott,
Grand Island native sisters and social service/policy
pioneers.
To show how this project is
spreading the word of their importance in our lives today,
both through our local collaboration between our Library,
Stuhr Museum and the Grand Island School District, as
well as project director John Sorensen’s efforts.
